In the Kitchen

Other than being Tuesday of a 4 day work week, I don't have many stories today. I suppose I could join the bandwagon and mention Tiger Woods, but I would rather post some food pictures...

Pappardelle Ragu with Mini Meatballs

Dorie's Chocolate Oatmeal Almost Candy Bars

Ross cooked dinner both nights, the fish AND the pappardelle! The mahi mahi was yum, but both of us agreed the ginger was a bit strong on the veggies. Both recipes came out of the BBQ Bible, one of Ross's favorite cookbooks. We found the pappardelle ragu lacking flavor. It may have been because the store was out of fresh basil and we had to substitute with dried basil. However, I think it's because the recipe came from a Brit--- Jamie Oliver... :) Dorie's recipe was delicious. The bar has a layer of melted chocolate, raisins, pecans, & condensed milk sandwiched between an oatmeal cookie crust and crumble on top. This cookie tastes especially wonderful served cold, straight out of the freezer. MMM.
