It's Gumbo, the Huebel's pup!
It's been awhile since he's graced the blog, but a recent Gumbo story was just too good to pass up.
Ross and I went to Texas for a short trip last month and one of the items on the "To-Do" list was to fool proof the backyard because Gumbo kept escaping from the backyard during thunderstorms. Apparently Gumbo is super afraid of thunder and will stop at nothing to breach the fence and get to front yard. So we walked around and thought we found the spot- a wheelbarrow tilted against the fence.
However, he escaped again. But, someone happen to see Gumbo work his magic. Get this: he is so terrified of thunder, this portly (sorry Gumbo) pup launches himself up the 2x4's supporting the back of the fence. There's only a 2 inch ledge! We didn't think this was even an option for Gumbo due to his beer belly. But, a pups gotta do what a pups gotta do.
I'm a little worried how Dad Huebel is going to remedy this, so I'm just not going to ask.
Did someone say thunder?
