Over the holidays, Dad Huebel was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma. Ross flew to Houston mid-December to help during the initial diagnosis. Thankfully, my family was able to fly to Anchorage to spend the holidays with me (and Roma pup). We now know how difficult it is to find flights into and out of Anchorage during peak travel times. There's only a finite number of flights that go to Alaska and when the get booked up... you better hope you have a relative that works for a airline company (thanks again Ms. Vana!).
Dad Huebel finished his first round of chemo and was able to come home last night-- BIG news! He has an oxygen machine at the house, but hasn't needed to use it except when sleeping. Dad H uses a walker to get around, which is such a big improvement from being bed-ridden a week ago. There will be 5 more chemo treatments, administered over the next 6 months.
Needless to say, the last couple weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster. We've been so thankful to have such an amazing bunch of family and friends. Thank you for your support!

Holiday hives. Maybe it was stress? or an allergic reaction? Who knows, but they lasted for 4 weeks and I'm not completely over them yet. Merry Itchy Christmas...
Cancer medications- I think we counted 14 different drugs.
