The "Road to Hana" or "Hana Highway" is a popular tourist attraction, though you can't really call it a destination. The trip is the destination if that makes sense. Hana is a little town on the east side of the island, but most tourists stay on the west or south sides of the island. You start your drive across the island along the water and end up in a tropical rain forest with waterfalls aplenty. There are quite a few scenic turnouts to get snapshots, but by the end of the drive you end up cruising by lots of those. It's something like 53 miles for one part of the drive, but it takes more than 2.5 hours with no stops. All in all, it took Ross and I an entire day to make the drive. We were exhausted by the end but it was totally worth it.
Secluded Lagoon with a tiny waterfall.
Coconut anyone?
Short hike from the road to PARADISE!
