Spooky

We had a nice trip to the ranch and followed that up with some spooky Halloween time with friends... Trick or Treat! Things definitely escalated this year, with the kiddos running from house to house. The leisurely parent "alcoholic beverage while slow walking" wasn't fast enough for them.

Paige is on the "Narwhals" soccer team. Confession: I had to look up what a narwhal was... Come to find out, it's the unicorn of the ocean (google it for a picture).

School fair

It’s time for the school jamboree 2021!

Check out the hats they made! At 18 tickets a pop it was definitely the highest ticket item, but also probably the coolest :)

Flower girls

These two little girls were quite possibly the most excited ones at the wedding. They were able to live out all their flower girl fantasies and it did NOT disappoint. C+P met the third flower girl at the start of the weekend and they became instant BFFs. So sweet to see them soaking up all the special family and wedding moments this weekend. 

On the way home, I got "Can we move to Nashville?" and "Is Courtney still in our family even though name is going to change?"

Nashville

My cousin Courtney had the most beautiful wedding this weekend and we left with full hearts (and bellies). I think Claire snapped 100+ pictures on my phone while I was tied up with bridal party pictures, which makes my heart happy because she loves photos like mom :)

Needless to say, the wedding will probably dominate photo content this week!

So confession... I'm sore today from Top Golf, haha. 

There's also only so many pointers husbands can point out before wives are saturated, BUT I learned I was holding the club incorrectly so Win!

Date night

We got away for a date night with a last minute Uchi reservation.  I tried to lower my expectations so I wouldn't be disappointed, but Uchi once again proved why it's my favorite houston restaurant :) We asked the server to pick the dishes for us and it was so fun. Think of things you would never order because they don't jump out on the menu but then you try them and.... YES! Fried pumpkin fell into this category for us. 

Every plate looked beautiful.

I don't know what this is called but I'll take another!

Ava pup

Well hello 'lil pup. 

Ava is always looking for new hiding spots and sometimes they don't look very comfortable. But when you're 26 lbs you can get creative.

Pumpkin Patch

Pouring rain, no problem. Pumpkin patch improvisation!

We were on a the way to the pumpkin patch and the girls had gotten all cute for pictures and it started to rain. Not a drizzle either, a deluge. So we diverted to Whole Foods and there was a big pumpkin display and Paige said, "Mom we can just do pictures here!!" :)
