Girls scouts

I had to help start a Daisy troop for big sis a couple years ago, and I find myself in a deja vu moment as I now help start one for lil sis this year. It's so funny because P just thought she was a girl scout already, that's just what happens when you go into Kindergarten, you become a GS. 

Y'all will definitely know who to call for all your cookie needs this spring-- Claire AND Paige :)

Spoiled

We had a nice weekend getting spoiled by Gigi and PopPop! I love to watch so many of the same games I remember unfold, from a new vantage point of course. And then I'll hear a -- "Did little mommy like this or do that?". So funny.

Milestones

 Feeling nostalgic this week. 

1. This little blog here is 12 years old!! I started the Huebel Hammock on a whim on a late night, sitting in a chair drinking wine with Roma pup ~a year into marriage as a way to document life through pictures, for myself and my extended family. What a blessing it's been to be able to go back and see the memories. It also brings the engineer/planner side of me great comfort knowing that my pictures are archived in yet another place besides back-up drives! Link to my first blog post July 2009!

2. Ava pup turned 1 yesterday! She may be small but she is a spicy hot tamale that is ready to rumble with the big dogs.. until she wants her belly rubbed. Then it's all over. We're still working on her affinity for water, but Ava is a ranch dog through and through. 

3. The girls started Kindergarten and Second grades this week. My mommy heart was so full as they walked into school with confidence and excitement. These ages are so much fun.

Quarter Pounder

Another Ava nickname surfaced this weekend.. "Quarter Pounder" because she's a quarter as big as Roma, but looks a whole lot like her :) 

Another fun fact about Ava is that she is a great swimmer, but especially hates the water. We're still trying to convince her the lake can be just as fun as the ranch. She got super excited when she saw a deer at the lake house.
