Claire returns!

It’s amazing what a week away at camp can do for a little girl! Claire’s first overnight camp was a success. It sounds like the most dramatic story was that her camp pillow was too small. Oh and that she kept losing things inside her trunk (?!). Already learning the ropes for optimizing farther next year! 

On another note, it took us awhile to comb through that hair when we got home..

Pink Skies

 We've seen some pretty impressive storms roll in and out, across the big sky, on the front porch of the ranch house. Check out this post-storm sunset. The pictures don't do it justice!

Paige is 5!

 It was a rainbow, unicorn, mermaid party. This multidimensional theme didn't faze the HEB cake decorator lady at all, so I'm thinking there's a lot of 5 year olds with similar requests. Paige had THE most amazing rainbow party backdrop curtesy of Abbey's teacher skills! What a fun day for our spunky little Paige Renae!

Claire Goes to Camp

 It was a big day at our house- we dropped Claire off at an overnight, weeklong summer camp. First time camper alert! I'm not crying, you're crying! Actually no one was crying, but I had lots of mommy anxiety leading up to the event. 

"Did I pack rain boots?"

"Did I remember to show C where her laundry basket is?"

"Does C know how to make a bed?"

"She's totally going to throw her clothes on the floor, I sure hope the floors are clean"

"Will C know how to adjust the shower temperature?"

I think daddies just handle the situation differently. Ross prepared with a nap right up until it was time to load up. At the cabin most of the other daddies had been seconded to the outside porch... too many tiger moms in a small space, haha :)

Meanwhile Paige would have stayed behind if anyone had asked her. She got so proud when someone asked her if she was a camper too. Not this year P, not this year.

Ross and P went for a short flight together today and ohhhh... the smiles when they landed! 

“Da, can we do that again? Just me and you? Where I get to fly by myself a little, not Claire?”

Ava

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted an Ava picture. She is 11 months old and such a spark plug. Ava is a ranch dog through and through, that’s her happiest place. She is enjoying the kush life thanks to the added flexibility of partial working from home. 

Right before Ava caught a whiff of some deer and bolted out of the side by side to track them down. Ava... come back!
