Ava at 5 months
Ranch Vibes
Ross offered to carry my [heavy] telephoto lens to the deer stand so I got some sunset pictures. It's fun looking at the animals through the lens, sort of like using binoculars :) Can you spot the deer?
Chocolate Fondue
Well we can check Fondue off the list of "firsts" for the girls. They were kind of in disbelief that Mom was actually letting them dip things into a big bowl of melted chocolate. Of course their favorite was the chocolate brownie bites (rather than the fruit) dipped in chocolate. I would like to point out that both of them said they might have eaten too much afterwards.
Putting Green
Claire got a set of [lefty] golf clubs for Christmas! We are fortunate to have a generous neighbor with a backyard putting green for access to some quick pre-dinner shots with Dad (and sister, and Ava).
One skillet lemony chicken with orzo
Matching Jammies
Dressing the girls in matching outfits makes me so happy, which I'm sure you've noticed :). However, rare is the day Ross's garb matches the girls. I think it's once a year as a matter of fact- Christmas jammies! Here's some cutie pics of Ross + Claire:
Happy Hour
We love a good charcuterie board in our house, but the kids couldn't remember that word so they called it "Cheese Night" instead. Ross and I call it Happy hour. haha. Anyway it's in the regular dinner rotation, but it can also be jazzed up for a special meal. Give it a try, it's hard to go wrong!
Ava at 4.5 Months
This is how almost all of my puppy pictures look:
Grey Blur.
I thought I was used to a "Grey Blur", but puppy speed is something I forgot entirely about and we regularly "lose" Ava in our house. Her #1 favorite spot is under the bed and her #1 favorite contraband is socks, #2 is Barbie/Barbie accessories (Barbie hair does resemble certain rope chew toys doesn't it?)
Ava weighs 20 lbs now and hopefully can't fit through the iron rod fences anymore :) She is learning Sit, Down, and Stay but we may need to go back to the basics of coming when her name is called, as she has selective hearing on that one. That is unless a training treat is involved. Will do anything for a puppy treat.
Claire Avery
Thought I might show y'all the importance of post-processing for photography enthusiasts such as myself who don't always get the lighting/exposure just right. I used to primarily use Photoshop, but now use Lightroom for its ease of use and speed.
