Race Car from Grampie

Mondays are pretty much no fun...ever. But when you find a special delivery on your doorstep after a long day at work, things change.

I opened the package after little Missy went to bed, but I can't wait to see her reaction tomorrow-- she LOVES cars! What makes the car even more perfect is that it's not too girly, but the driver is clearly a fashionable lady with a green scarf, red lipstick, and driving goggles.

Thank you so much Grampie! What a thoughtful gift and yes, pictures to come!

On another note, I think the spinning tops are hypnotizing Roma...

Grosse Savanne Trip

I mentioned our fishing trip out of Grosse Savanne last week, but I have some more pictures to share with you!

A evening storm was rolling in, right before dinner. It was neat to see the wall of clouds march across the sky and swallow the sunset. 

Here's our "Lodge". As you can see, not really roughing it, my kind of place!

Ross and I had a great time- we'd go back anytime! Well anytime the Redfish are running so heavy that we limit out in a half hour...  :)

The Honas's live about 15 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheater, which I knew pretty much nothing about before. Now I know that a lot of famous people have had concerts there and that in the mornings the amphitheater is a Cross Fit mecca. There were workout fiends galore doing some extreme workout maneuvers....

Jolin and I were 2 of them. Well minus the backwards handstands :)

Honas Visit

Jolin is one of my very dearest friends, so it's natural we have some things in common. I mean right? :) I was debating if I could actually include "taking pictures together" as a shared hobby, but after some thought I decided that yes, for us, it definitely counts as a hobby. Other shared interests include working out, drinking coffee, inappropriate stories, Costco, hiking, fishing, and generally being fun. That's a pretty good little list I'd say!

Golden Colorado Pics

I'm finally get around to posting pictures from our trip to Denver earlier this month, yay!

We took a short (20 min) drive to Golden Colorado to walk around and spend the day outside. Ross led us to some delicious breweries too :)

See the Coors plant? The wait for the tourline was up to 2+ hours, so we skipped it

We had some beautiful (relatively cool) weather and we were able to enjoy the great outdoors.

Outtakes with Kiddos

We went to Denver a couple weeks ago to visit the Honas family. We had such a great trip and we were able to escape the Houston heat and humidity for a few days.

The kids had fun playing together. However, sometimes kiddos don't want to cooperate, it just happens!

Number 8 is a very big number when it's how many years old for a puppy girl. Roma had a juicy steak for her special birthday meal.
