If you competed in the Olympics, what sport would it be? 100m sprint or gymnastics? Badminton or trampoline?
My personal favorite is beach volleyball. I looooove watching the athleticism of a duo cover an entire court made of sand. Back in the day, I played a lot of indoor volleyball, but beach is such a different dynamic. Each person gets the spotlight, for better or for worse, and there's no hiding a bad passer.
Even back when I played volleyball, everyone knew about Misty May. She was THE best indoor collegate setter before she made the jump to beach vball. Here we are years later and Misty just wins her 3rd gold medal in a row with partner Kerri Walsh. Crazy. Now she's retiring and hopes to start a family, but what a great run.
I wonder if we'll see Kerri at the 2016 Olympics with another partner? Or if we'll see Misty on another episode of Dancing with the Stars?
