Lyon, France Fall Leaves

On our walk/hike back down from the Basilica in Lyon we went through a park with some amazing Fall colored leaves.

Lyon Basilica

 In Lyon there's a Basilica at the top of the hill overlooking the city. We took a funicular to the top of the steep hill due to little legs, but we hoofed it downhill. 

"Wow look at this castle Mom. Where's the Queen?" - Paige

After correcting her a couple times I gave up. Paige wanted every church to be a castle. So it goes.

Lyon, France

 We took a couple trains from Cully, Switzerland to Lyon, France for a few days. The city has a combination of hills and rivers which make it quite beautiful. 

Paige lost her first tooth in Switzerland and as a result wanted to smile like this in every picture-

Gruyere Switzerland

We went to Switzerland over Thanksgiving break! It was such a neat experience for our little family to go on our first international trip. I was nervous about a 10.5 hour flight from Houston to Frankfurt, but ipads work wonders. So do plane snacks. One of our first excursions was to Gruyere, a picturesque little town where it's all about cheese, and visiting an old castle. (cheese- check, castle- check... both were items on the girls Switzerland wish list). 

Here's some views of Gruyere as we hiked up to the castle.
