Training

This week I'm attending a training class. The girls could not wrap their heads around 1) that Momma goes anywhere besides Midland without them and 2) what a training class is. Finally when I explained training as "going back to big kid school even when you're a grown-up, just to learn more and get better at your job" I think that it clicked for Claire. Paige just got her back pack and told me that she was going to go "bye bye with mom."

Story Time

Paige Story- I'm in the shower and Paige runs in to say "call me when you're ready mom, call me"  and then runs out.

Claire Story-

C: "Mom do you know Ella and Noor?"

E: "You mean Emma and Nora?" (friends and play mates)

C: "No do you know where EllaNoor is?" Sings the states song and gets to Illinois part...

   ***Oh EllaNoor is Illinois!

E: "Oh you mean ILLINOIS?!" :)

Sunset at the HH

There's something about this picture that I love. I think it's the unique sunset lighting and the tree reflection in the water. Wait, we have water at the ranch? When it rains a lot we do :)

HH Ranch

Still working my way through the family ranch pictures from last month.

Pretty much guarantee this ranch has never blasted Taylor Swift until this trip. Had to entertain the kiddos while trying to pack up. Reputation Tour on Netflix did the trick.

While at the Ranch with the big Huebel crew Ross gave some shooting lessons. But you can't do that without a big audience :)

And a flat tire waiting for me at the airport tonight. 

I picked a keeper. Thankful he could come help me. Tire changing training did not help me tonight, my husband did.

Graeme’s Run

It sure was chilly on Saturday morning, but thankfully it didn't rain on us. It was the fourth annual Graeme's run event in memory of Graeme McDaniel. Robby and Stephanie work so hard to bring this event together; you could just feel the love and support from everyone there. All the proceeds go towards the Children's Heart Foundation.

Laura Huebel came with us to the event.

So cold! 38 degrees.

Bundled up.

On a cool note, I was the top female finisher!! I asked Ross to take the stroller so I could run fast. I averaged 7 min/mile.  I got beat by several boys on the high school cross country team (and a 10 year old). But who cares, because this momma won and got a prize which never happens!

I got to go on stage with Paige for the award.

I promptly redeemed my prize money today for a new pair of running shoes.

Tractor

Do you call it a 4-wheeler, or a side-by-side, or a tractor? Not sure, but riding in it is lots of fun. Especially at night because it's outfitted with tons of light bars for spotlighting :)

Cinnamon Rolls

I love it when Paige tries to say Cinnamon (and squirrel, prosciutto, and many other words...). Over the winter holidays she talked a lot about cinnamon after she helped make cinnamon rolls with Gigi and Claire. as a bystander, it was quite comical. But I think Gigi is glad it's a once a year tradition :)
