Smiles on a Swing

Claire and her big cousin Madison got to hang out at the lakehouse over July 4th. Granna bought all the girls matching outfits so we had to snap some pictures together.

Ally didn't really want in on the action, but she was a good sport.

Moms club

So I went to my first ever mom's club, one that's specifically for ladies in the neighborhood. Anyway they had these boutique trucks outside. I didn't even know these kind of things existed... Crazy right?

I've been in San Antonio for a conference  the last few days. It's been fun to change up the routine but I am ready to get back home!

Strep Throat

We had a more eventful weekend than we were planning. Little missy had to go to urgent care on Saturday because she wasn't eating or going potty. Turns out she was extremely constipated, probably due to the fact she had strep throat; Claire wasn't wanting to eat/drink because her throat hurt. Poor little. Claire got a shot of medicine from the doctor and was feeling so much better after a good nights sleep. And we all know that Momma is happy when baby is happy :) Thank goodness the grandparents all live nearby!

I'm attending a conference for work, so the blog might be sparse the next few days.

Another Pool Day

Cool water on a hot summer day at the lake house, yes please!

Claire wanted to get in and out of the pool every other second. In/Out/In/Out/In/Out.... I bet she got a lot of Fitbit steps that day. More importantly, Claire slept well at night.

Travel Reflections

We just booked the flights for a trip to Spain! For whatever reason, I have always wanted to go to Spain. When I was taking Spanish in high school we watched video modules associated with each chapter of the book and there was just something about Paco and his friends that made me want to experience Spain firsthand. Anyway of course I got sidetracked from trip planning and instead started thinking of the places I've been and the places I want to go!!

Special Brother Gift

Ever since we doubled the size of our ranch last year, Ross has been scheming on a top secret project for brother Adam (and himself). He wanted to buy matching 1911 hand guns to commemorate being Ranch owners. Ross picked out the guns, then designed logos to be carved into the metal. I'm not sure how many hours of creative juices Ross put into the design, but the final product turned out so well. The 3 engravings are: "Huebel Ranch established in 2009", each of their initials, and a registered cattle brand "HH."  There's much more detail in the story, but you can ask just ask Ross about it :)

I think this picture needs some photo effects to make it look like the vintage wild west, where people play with guns on the porch and it's no big deal...
